Protect workers in asbestos environment: Safety should be strictly controlled |
In two days, 9th – 10th April 2010, in Hanoi, the National Institute for Labour Protection (NILP) coordinated with the Australian People for Health, Education and Development Abroad (APHEDA) organized a seminar on “Strengthening Capacity of Research and Information on Asbestos Related Occupational Diseases”. Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Deputy President of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL); Mr. Allaster Cox, Australian Ambassador in Vietnam; Mr. Phillip Hazelton, Mekong Regional Coordinator – APHEDA… and representatives from MOLISA, MoC, MoH attended the seminar. Participants in the seminar are representatives from national domestic institutes, trade union officers and international delegates from Australia, Canada, Australian Manufacturing and International Construction Union.
