"Vietnam's accession to WTO – impacts on workers, employment and trade unions" is the topic of a joint seminar organised by the VGCL and FES-Hanoi Office from 17 to 18 March 2008 with participation of 45 representatives from selected local federations of labour and national industrial unions.

Seminar on “TU participation in formulating Law on Social Insurance” |
In 2 days, 4 and 5 May 2006, the Seminar on “TU participation in formulating Law on Social Insurance” was organised in Hanoi with the participation of 50 trade union officials from different industrial unions and provincial federations of labour in the North. The aim of the Seminar is to give ideas and proposals to the Gorvenment on the draft Law on Social Insurance.

Office equipments to VGCL Legal Consultation Center |
On 4 May 2006, at the VGCL Headquarters, Mr. Felix Schmidt, Chief Representative of Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES), Hanoi Office, handed over office equipments to the VGCL Legal Consultation Center. These equipments are included in the annual assistance of FES for Vietnamese Trade Union. Up to now, 17 T.U Legal Consultation Centers and offices in different provinces have been provided with necessary equipments by FES.
